His Divine Grace Baba Brahmananda Maharaja or Srila Guru Maharaja, as he is affectionately called by Swami Ramakrishnananda, was born in llakin Pur Kiri, on November 13^th , 1931. Disciple of the great Sat Guru and Siddha, His Divine Grace Sat Guru Baba Mastramji Maharaja, whom he met for the first time in 1971. During the years Srila Guru Maharaja has been transformed into a living example of the wisdom of his great master.

During his life, Baba Brahmananda personally met great Spiritual Masters from whom he received guidance and inspiration, among them Ananda Ma and His Holiness Swami Sivananda.

Swami Ramakrishnananda has had the immense benediction to study directly from this great master about all the aspects of yoga, and to be personally initiated by His Divine as his disciple.
