His Divine Grace Srila Atulananda Acharya, also called "Gurudev" by
his disciples, was born in Santiago, Chile in the year 1951, to a
Chilean diplomatic family. He is one of the instructor spiritual
masters or "siksha guru" of Swami Ramakrishnananda.
He spent his youth traveling to various countries until entering
the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina where he came into
contact with the Gaudiya Vaishnava religion. He then decided to
study the Vedic religion, taking His Divine Grace A.C Bhaktivedanta
Swami Prabhupada as his spiritual master, and devote his life to
missionary activities.
Subsequently he returned to Chile, where he settled, in order to
help with preaching the message of his spiritual master.
It was in 1977 when our Ramakrishnananda Swami met His Divine Grace
Srila Atulananda Acharya. In reality he was one of the first
devotees to introduce the Vaishnava Religion to our spiritual
master, and the first in giving guidance and instructions in the
spiritual and religious path and in the bhakti yoga.
With the painful departure of Srila Prabhupada in 1977, Srila
Atulananda Acharya continued with his travels in order to deepen
his Vedic knowledge , and in the year 1985 he returned with his
wife to Chile were he settled in order for the people to get to
know the marvelous teachings of the Vedic Culture
Nowadays, he fulfills the function of Guru and initiative Spiritual
Master, as well as one of the leaders of the organization
"Vrinda".
