om ajñāna—timirānndhasya jñānāñjana—śalākayā
cakṣur unmīlitaṁ yena tasmai śrī—gurave namaḥ
I was born in the darkest ignorance, and my spiritual master opened my eyes with the torch of knowledge. I offer my respectful obeisances unto him.
