Radha Krishna Puja
May 01, 2012 8:00 pm

Lord Krishna, the avatar of Vishnu, appeared in India more than 5,000 years ago as the son of Devaki and Vasudeva, in the royal family of Mathura. His childhood lilas, or pastimes, took place in nearby Vrindavan, where He was a cowherder. The gopis (cowherd girls) worshiped and loved Him with great devotion but it was Sri Sri Radha whose devotion stands out the most. Lord Krishna and Sri Sri Radha never married but their eternal relationship is bound by transcendental love that symbolizes the highest and purest love; the passion and devotion of the devotee towards God.
